The Warning
I have based my project on the environment focusing on different aspects of global warming. I want my project to convey how everything we see now will change, and make people aware of what they are doing, by taking photographs of what I think will happen in the near future.
My main influence was an artist called Andy Hughes and his piece called ‘surfers against sewage’. I found his images striking and wanted to interpret a similar shocking approach with my photographs. My work is a mixture of different elements I feel are causes of global warming, or being impacted by nature.

About me
Jatinder is taking part in what we want!, a media grant scheme run by youth charity Futureversity (formerly Tower Hamlets Summer Uni) and supported by Mediabox.www! helps young people aged 13-19 create a film or photo project about a subject they feel passionate about. The project offers mentoring, training and financial support over 4 months, culminating in a public exhibition in November.
This years exhibition, open to the public, takes place at Maverik Showroom from 23-28 November 2010.
